At Wharehine, we also have a surveying and engineering team, with a focus on our trainee engineering graduate programme. Our Survey team will work across individual projects supporting the construction teams where required depending on size and scope of the projects.
Heavy Engineering & Workshop
Wharehine own and operate 100% of all our plant and equipment, we invest capital back into the company every year to increase and replace our construction, quarry & transport gear rather than relying on lease options. We have the capital set aside to maintain that plant and in the circumstances of growth, are able to purchase new gear quickly and add to our fleet in a timely manner if a project requires it.
The engineering workshop team service and maintain our entire fleet, including all of the mobile and fixed quarry crushing plants. We have a strong team of heavy diesel mechanics, truck shop mechanics, panel beaters & painters, auto electricians & steel fabricators which allows us to carry out just about any task in house. Combined with our largely stocked parts stores and industry contacts we are quickly able to get any of our machines back up and running quickly to prevent delays and the costs associated with them.
Our steel fabricating shop is able to carry out many engineering projects both to support fitting out of new gear and quarry plant upgrades but also to fabricate items in house for our construction projects too.
